According to the issue of the Cochrane Database Systematic Review of elderly people with depression, tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have similar efficacy, but TCAs appear to have a higher discontinuation rate because of adverse effects. -Team@CMHF
