Drug-Eluting Stents Safe in Renal Patients

Researchers have found that drug-eluting stents are safe to use in older patients, regardless of a patient’s kidney function. In the largest registry study to date that suggests that drug-eluting stents appear to be safe in older patients with varying levels of chronic kidney disease undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs).
