Metformin should be the first drug of choice in oral therapy for type 2 diabetics who don’t respond to diet and lifestyle changes, according to a new guideline. -Team@CMHF

Physicians should prescribe oral metformin as a first-line therapy for most patients with type 2 diabetes, as well as for those whose blood sugar cannot be controlled with diet, exercise, and weight loss, according to new guidelines from the American College of Physicians (ACP). -Team@CMHF  

Metformin should be the initial drug for most patients with type 2 diabetes refractory to lifestyle modifications, with a second drug added if needed, according to a new clinical practice guideline from the American College of Physicians (ACP) -Team@CMHF  

Low Testosterone May Affect Insulin Sensitivity
