We’re tired of reports,’ Quebec doctors say

Quebec doctors think they are far behind, imagine in India, less than 20% doctors have adopted computers. When will Indian doctors realise this and get tech savvy to become customer centric and save their own time?

Quebec medical association has a great debate regarding the use of technology in day to day medical practice. “We’re tired of reports. We’ll have to pilot the changes (ourselves)”, the president of QMA says. In Quebec less than 20% doctors has to adopt electronic methods. Digitalization has already been started in GP’s offices. “Computerized medical records save the doctor time, and ordering tests and prescriptions online improve speed and fluidity of the process,” QMA president had added.

“Fact finding mission” has been organised to see the working of other models in countries like America and Britain.
When the president of QMA suggested stimulating the process and promoting the adoption of new technologies for the improvement of the medical services, point was rose that the physician compensation methods that remuneration is a very important part of the equation in a system with finite resources.
